Totally Mushrooms

The Farm

Welcome
to the Farm.

Mushrooms are a crop. They're grown, tended and harvested on a schedule set by biology — not marketing. This is where Totally Mushrooms actually happens.

How the farm runs

Substrate

01

Substrate

Organic hardwood and agricultural inputs are hydrated, mixed and prepared. Everything the mushroom becomes is built from this.

Colonization

02

Colonization

After inoculation, mycelium spreads through the substrate in the dark, digesting it and knitting it together.

Fruiting

03

Fruiting

Bags move into controlled rooms where humidity, fresh air, light and temperature trigger mushrooms to form.

Harvest

04

Harvest

Fruiting bodies are picked by hand at the right stage, then go fresh to customers or on to processing.
